WHO ARE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

June, 2007 Annual Meeting of Heat-Up St. Louis Board, (All members not present).
The all-volunteer board of directors of Heat-Up St. Louis and Cool Down St. Louis is quite diverse. The board originally began with a handful of community volunteers from the civic, business, and religious sectors. It was the intention of the founder, Gentry W. Trotter, president of MultiMedia PR Group to continuously expand the board to reflect the socioeconomic makeup of the entire St. Louis region and to reinforce the volunteer base. Passion Guides Us…Commitment Sustains Us.

The other key board position which is critical to the overall success of this regional not-for-profit energy assistance, public education and advocacy charity is: Civic volunteer and businesswoman Donna Knight, serves as chairwoman of the Auxiliary. Carol Daniel of KMOX, CBS Radio is our official resource hotline host. Our executive director is Gentry W. Trotter of MultiMedia PR Group and our administrator is Tim Gorline. These two part-time positions are underwritten by donations and grants from the all-volunteer board, so that 100% of all public donations go toward servicing the needy.

Robert Wm. Fulstone
Since the not-for-profit organization is solely volunteer based, it is essential that the group maintains a resource of individuals who have small, to medium, to large associations and affiliations. Heat-Up St. Louis and Cool Down St. Louis are open to nominations for membership. Anyone who believes that a potential board candidate can bring financial, fundraising, marketing, public relations or volunteer resources may nominate that person by sending an official letter of request to Robert Wm. Fulstone, nominating chairperson, c/o Heat-Up St. Louis, Inc., Suite 603, The Shell Building, 1221 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, or submit it to our e-mail address at info@heatupstlouis.org. The office space is donated by MultiMedia PR Group.

Melanie Dileo
Heat-Up St. Louis and Cool Down St. Louis welcome people to volunteer at many of our public or private fundraisers. To serve with board members on some of our standing and special committees, or to volunteer, write us at info@heatupstlouis.org or fax us at 314-241-1860, c/o Kevin McGowan, board president.
The board of directors attempt to meet three times a year, including an annual meeting, scheduled in June of each year. The annual meeting is for the sole purpose of conducting business relating to any financial, marketing, and fundraising issues, mid-year.

Kevin X. McGowan
In absence of the board, the executive committee meets routinely to deal with business affairs of the organization. The organization’s business and its meetings are conducted in the framework of Roberts Rules of Order. In absence of the board of director, the organization’s day-to-day operation is run by the president of the board of directors, often in consultation with the executive committee.

Gentry Trotter The president also chairs the annual and board meetings, and executive committee meetings, except for ad-hoc and board-established committees. The official spokespersons are the chair, vice-chair(s), president and vice president and other officers. No officer or board member is allowed to receive compensation, or be reimbursed for expenses incurred by executive order. Those expenses are to be considered administrative costs, so that every penny (100%) donated goes to help needy families in about 17 counties in Missouri and Illinois, and the City of St. Louis, where members are responsible for volunteering time and efforts throughout the calendar year, and board members must make an annual donation of their choice.
Thank you for helping to Heat-Up St. Louis in the winter months, and Cool Down St. Louis in the summer months.
Board members are responsible for volunteering time and efforts throughout the calendar year, and they must make an annual donation of their choice. Board members are assigned to at least one board or ad-hoc committee during the term of their respective office.
